REPORT IV.

British Legation,

roking.

29th November, 1926.

sir.

I have the honour to forward herewith a translation from

a Chinese (Peking) paper on above subject. It is useful as

it gives a short Biographical sketch of the participants in

the enterprise and the details of the flight since they left

Gant on.

These details are correct with the exception of the usual

●mggeration as to number of Foreign officers present,

British Military Officers were present.

The French Aviation School Instructor is M. jarque, an

ex-pilot of the shreek Aviation firm, now instructor at

Taiyuan-fu.

The American Military attache and some of his assistants

went down to sanyuan but were not present when the plane

actually arrived. In conversation with the Attaché he was

very careful to point out that this was a commercial propos-

ition. He added that the State Department of America having

now permitted the sale of commercial (sic) planes to China,

he expected great things from this flight.

I was also informed that some French planes recently

purchased by the Canton Government have been far fron

satisfactory. I have not been able to get confirmation

of this statement.

The plane has since landed safely at Mukden.

Enelos. Translation.

H.B.M. Minister,

Peking.
